Dagger
173. A heavy dagger with a native forged blade, probably 19th century. Lead inlaid knives and daggers were made in America and Northern European countries as well as some places in Africa. Some small losses.
My inclination as to the origin of this dagger is Siberia, as the knives of the northern U.S. and Canada often have trade blades. This knife has a heavy native forged blade, and the Siberian tribes are well known for their superb artistry in iron and the magical properties they associate with this material.
Siberia.
30cm in the scabbard.
