Aboriginal Group

213. An interesting group of items dating to the 19th century. a stick with a large amount of resin, probably used for transporting resin? a small axe with a traded iron blade which has lost some of its binding and is loose, interestingly this axe is not made using a bentwood technique as is more common but a single shaft split at the head. Two clubs one which has sustained some loss to the head but looks to have been carved back and along one register of protrusions and continued being used as the re-carving is patinated.

Clubs 66cm and 69cm. Resin stick 39cm and axe is 32cm.
